“Lady In Waiting” by Susan Meissner

“Lady in Waiting” is actually two stories in one. One about Jane Lindsay who has been with her husband for more than twenty years and then out of nowhere he packs his bags and leaves. She is left with many questions and feeling very alone. One day while looking through a box full of books she finds a ring. a very old ring with a name inscribed in it, Jane.
She feels a connection with the ring and sets out to find more about it.
Lucy Day is the dressmaker of Jane, Lady Jane Grey. In her time Lady Jane is fifth in line to the throne, her every movement is controlled and many things are kept from her. She finds herself in difficult situations that keep her from her true love and happiness.

This book was amazing, I would definitely recommend it. There were times were the stories would switch but I would be so in to one of them I would get mad and not want to switch because both stories were just so great. This book was very well written, I hadn’t read books from Susan Meissner before but now really want to.

Thanks Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing for providing me with a copy of this book to review. All opinions expressed are mine entirely.
