“Fairer Than Morning” by Rosslyn Elliot

Will believes he has just made the greatest deal in his life by signing himself as apprentice to Master Jacob Good for five years. When his term is finished he’ll have learned the trade of saddlery, earned a set of new tools, and a new coat and boots. Everything seems great at the time; of course he has no idea what the future has in store for him. His master turns out to be nothing but dire and cruel, he beats his apprentices very often. After being with Master Good for four long years, Will is happy his term is almost over, but things get complicated for him. Another Master saddler comes to the city of Pittsburg to make a special saddle in Master Good’s workshop. Mr. Miller is very kind to Will, and actually helps him. When Mr. Miller leaves Will is beaten almost to death by his master, he then decides to run away and takes refugee with Mr. Miller.

This book was not what I was expecting to read. The book was said to be about how Mr. Miller’s daughter, Ann, and Will fall in love, honestly throughout the whole book Ann and Will hardly even speak to each other. It was a great book overall but, if you’re looking for a romance book, then this… is not something you’ll enjoy. I still recommend it, the plot is original and pretty easy to follow, the characters are also intriguing, but… I don’t know I kind of felt there was something missing. Maybe the second book of this series will bring that something with it. I give this book 4 stars overall.

“Breath Of Angel” by Karyn Henley

Melaia is just a young priestess who lives a peaceful life, at the temple in Navia. Until one day she witnesses a murder at the temple courtyard. She discovers that the stranger who was murdered has wings, but angels are only supposed to be myths..right? Melaia realizes that all those myths about angels are true, the myth about the two immortal brothers who destroyed the stairway to heaven and stranded angels in the earth realm, actually happened. The stairway needs to be fixed though, before time runs out, and only Melaia can do it. In order to fix the stairway, three angeleon harps need to be found and united. Melaia and some angels who are trying to restore the stairway go in search for the harps, but their search isn’t easy, especially when their being hunted. Will they be able to fix the stairway??

I loved this book, I give it five stars, and definitely recommend this to anyone. It is well written and the plot was original. I honestly can’t wait for the next book and this first one isn’t even being sold in stores yet!

Scotty and Charley are on the move again. This time they are headed to Marshall, Texas to another one of Jeremy’s films. While staying in town Scotty makes new friends. She learns about herself and God, which wasn’t really what she planned, but she’s happy for it. She even learns more about her family, things get better for her in Charley. Biker Guy is still chasing them but Scotty is tired of running away. When she finally confronts him what could be the result?

I really did like this book, it shows you how God is always there, no matter what. I even learned a bit about myself too. I have to admit some parts were not at all what I expected, but it was a great book overall. I give it four stars, and definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a quick, easy read.
