“An Amish Wedding” by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, & Kelly Long

Rose has planned on marrying Luke ever since they were young children but now that the time for that is finally here she is not so sure she is ready for that, and she is convinced Luke is hiding something from her, but what could it be?

Priscilla has been looking forward to her wedding day, her perfect wedding day, but with so many things going wrong she isn’t so sure she is taking the right path.

Naomi is Priscilla’s older sister and with all the wedding preparations going on she wonders if she’ll ever find the right person as well.

An Amish Wedding is actually three separate stories about three young Amish girls, two who are looking forward to their own and each other’s wedding day, and the third just waiting on God for the right person to come along. Each story was about 120 pages each and honestly I thought since they were so short they made me feel as if the story was rushed and I can not say that I completely enjoyed them, they were to short and seemed unreal. The second story A Perfect Match was actually about two characters, who after about three weeks of meeting each other realize they are in love, I personally don’t think that happens in real life and didn’t like that everything was so fast paced. Still, all three stories were okay…nothing exceedingly great…I rate the entire book three stars.

Many thanks to Thomas Nelson publishers for providing me with a copy of this book to review.  I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine and mine alone.

I conceive this internet site holds some very good information for everyone. “I prefer the wicked rather than the foolish. The wicked sometimes rest.” by Alexandre Dumas.

An Amish Wedding, by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, and Kelly Long was written into three books, with each author taking a book and putting their personal flair and touches to it. It was a very easy read with a very simple plot line. I would really have liked to see more climax to each of the stories as well as more thought out problems that occur in life. The problems that each of the bride-to-be¿s faced was so simple, it was almost funny. I kept thinking to myself, ¿Man, these authors need to walk in my shoes for a day and they might come up with something more!¿
Besides the simplicity of it, it was a good read. The characters were well developed and the writing was nicely done. Also, if you are not familiar with the Old Order Amish ways of life, each author does a good job describing some of the most important details with their readers.
One last thing that I enjoyed was how the books were interwoven. This made for an easy flow from one book to the other as each had a connection to the others.

I couldn’t agree with you more Ceska; it was a good read but the problems were so simple, the authors really should come up with more complex situations. As for the way of life for the Amish, this is actually the first time I read an Amish book so I had no idea all this was real!
